{"id":26,"date":"2009-03-04T14:24:02","date_gmt":"2009-03-04T18:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/testing.coalpetrography.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2021-11-10T18:48:28","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T22:48:28","slug":"company-profile","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/blog1\/company-profile\/","title":{"rendered":"Company Profile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pearson Coal Petrography provides microscopic evaluations\u00a0 of\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/library\/pdf\/CokingCoal.pdf\">coking<\/a> coals,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/library\/pdf\/SteamCoal.pdf\">steam<\/a> coals, metallurgical cokes, and carbons, from state-of-the-art laboratories located in Canada, the United States, and Australia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Victoria laboratory, in British Columbia, opened in 1981 to service the coal mines in the Rocky Mountains of western Canada. In February 1998, we opened our first US laboratory, in South Holland, Illinois. This was followed in May 2005, by our Catlettsburg laboratory, in Kentucky which moved to South Charleston, West Virginia in 2016.\u00a0 Our Australian laboratory which opened in January 2008, is located at the port of Mackay, in tropical central Queensland, Australia.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/locations.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-679\" title=\"locations\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/locations-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"locations\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/locations-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/locations-300x299.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.coalpetrography.com\/blog1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/locations.jpg 638w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the two U.S. locations, we provide automated petrographic technology to the world&#8217;s\u00a0most advanced \u00a0heat-recovery coke oven batteries operated by SunCoke Energy: at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.suncoke.com\" rel=\"nofollow\">Haverhill North Coke Company<\/a>, in Franklin Furnace,\u00a0Ohio;\u00a0 at Indiana Harbor Coke Company, in East Chicago, Indiana; and to Middletown Coke Company in Middletown, Ohio. \u00a0Our laboratories analyze coking coals and blends that comprise more than 25% of the total US production of metallurgical coke.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our Chicago laboratory is in west of Chicago in Downers Grove, not too far from ArcelorMittal&#8217;s Indiana Harbor plant.
